Nurture Nomads

Why we’re going.

At one point I lived what most would consider the American dream. I built a life around family, homes, work, and caring for other people. Then psychosis changed nearly everything.

Nurture Nomads grew from rebuilding and choosing to turn lived experience into connection. We’re preparing to travel the United States with Roo, offer useful help, connect people with local resources, and share honest mental-health stories with dignity and consent.

We couldn’t be starting any smaller—Kelly, Roo, the skills already in hand, and the willingness to begin. With the help of others, we hope to grow Nurture Nomads into a nationwide nonprofit.

What this looks like

Meet people where they are.

Show up in person

We’ll bring food, useful supplies, local resources, and real human conversation—always with dignity.

Speak from lived experience

We’ll talk honestly about psychosis, recovery, and the kind of support that can help someone find their footing again.

Make room for connection

We’ll listen first, share responsibly, and care for people and animals without turning anyone’s hardship into content.
